Where Were We Living? > Double/Triple Fronted Brick Veneer (Estate Style) 1980 - 1990
When size did matter
This era was really the beginning of building the perfect family home in the serenity of suburbia 15km - 20km from Melbourne CBD and in the Northwestern region insofar as the West was concerned. Architects were also forced to add some flair and styling to the quickly becoming boring predecessors.
The norm of the home nearly doubled in size and the introduction of gable roofs and concrete slabs became mainstream together with the use of colourbond roof and re-introduction of timber windows (albeit very thin timber compared to bygone era).
Distinguishing features include:

- Garage - Attached to home
Internal- Plasterboard
- Carpet
- Ensuite
- Cathedral ceiling features
- 2400mm (8') ceilings
