The Burnham name is well respected within the community, as we've acted for State, Federal and Local government organisations, Banks, Trustee Companies, Church Groups and Financial Institutions. In fact we act on behalf of the State Trustees Ltd for all their Auctions in the western suburbs.

Our Roots As A Company

Burnham Real Estate grew out of the merger of two long established western suburbs agents. The firm of C Farnbach was established by the late Conrad Farnbach in the 1800s. The late W.W. Burnham established W Burnham & Co in 1923.

These two companies first amalgamated in 1949 at our present site adjacent to the Footscray Railway Station and quickly became known as leaders in Footscray Real Estate. An Altona office opened in 1966, followed by Deer Park in 1990. The most recent addition was the Seddon office. Seddon previously traded as EJ Doherty and the local office was merged and re-named as another Burnham Real Estate office.
